Alicia Olmos Ochoa
Documentary Photography

Alicia Olmos Ochoa is a photographer from Madrid, Spain, currently based in Zurich, Switzerland.

Alicia is personally interested in documentary photography as a way of portraying contemporary, social and political matters. Her work consists primarily on the documentation of cultural events such as concerts, art performances and theatre plays, as well as location-based portraiture. These two pillars of her photographic practice are complimented by her own personal projects.

June 2021 she graduated her Masters degree on Art Education with focus on Curatorial Studies at ZHdK (Zurich University of Arts) in Zurich. 2018, she graduated with a photographic work for her BA in Art and Media (ZHdK), Credits, a series of portraits from the University’s Service Team. The project was exhibited at Toni Areal during the summer of 2018 in Zurich. The work explores portrait photography as a way of communication, and questions visibility and awaerness from an institution-critical and political point of view.

Alicia Olmos currently works full time for PKZ as part of the photography team.
